Application

Rock wool pipes are made mainly from natural rocks such as basalt and diabase. After being melted at high temperatures, the materials are processed by high-speed centrifugal equipment to form man-made inorganic fibers. Then, special binders and dust-proof oils are added. The fibers are spread into a mat by a swinging belt and cured and shaped in a curing furnace to form the insulation pipe casings. They have the following various uses:
 
  • Insulation of Industrial Pipelines
    • Thermal Pipelines: Rock wool pipe casings have excellent thermal insulation performance, which can effectively reduce the heat loss during the transmission of thermal pipelines. For example, in a central heating system, high-temperature hot water or steam pipelines are insulated with rock wool pipe casings, which can make the heat be transported to the user end more efficiently, reduce energy consumption, and prevent safety accidents caused by the excessively high surface temperature of the pipelines at the same time.
    • Chemical Pipelines: In chemical production, many pipelines transport media with specific temperature requirements. Q:  What are the characteristics of Rock wool and Glass wool?
